NORTH SOUTH PREPARATIONS WEEKENDS IN JUNE AND JULY.

Concordia will run two preparation orientation weekends for all those volunteers interested in joining a project in Latin America, Asia and Africa. The dates available are from June 13th-15th (only few places left available) and July 11th-13th in Brighton.

As there are only few places left for the preparation weekend in June , encourage all volunteers intending to join a project starting from August onwards to join the preparation weekend in July.

The preparation weekend is compulsory for all volunteers placed on a project; however this is also a good chance for all those who want to know more about the North South Programme but still haven’t decided where to go or what project to chose.

For more information click here or contact Concordia on 01273 422218; email francescob@concordia-iye.org.uk

Applicants need to be 17 or over. CO-ORDINATORS IN THE UK NEEDED

Concordia is looking for project co-ordinators in the UK for the summer 2008. Co-ordinators are essential to Concordia, we can’t send volunteers abroad if we don’t host projects in the UK and we can’t do that without hardworking, motivated co-ordinators. Positions for co-ordinators are open in particular to volunteers who already had an experience on an international volunteer project; however, we will consider also applications from those with similar experience outside of Concordia.

Here is the list of projects available for co-ordinating:

  • Arboretum, 12.07.08 - 26.07.08, Environmental;
  • Hairy Caterpillars, 01.11.08 – 15.11.08, Environmental;
  • Peak Park 04.08.08-18.08.08, Environmental;
