VCZ is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation that has been in existence since 1998, though initially started in 1996 as a project of the Antiwar Campaign, Croatia. VCZ aims to promote volunteer action as a means of developing the progress of individuals, communities and society in general.

Green Action is a non-governmental, not-for profit organisation that was founded in 1990. It is actively involved in environmental issues of local, national and international significance. Their goal is to promote environmentally sound and sustainable development and to facilitate public participation in decision-making processes.
VCZ and Green Action are both members of the South-East European Youth Network. SEEYN (www.seeyn.org) was born in 2000 and consists of 11 very different organisations who share a common belief in voluntarism, exchanges and co-operation between borders. Through their work, SEEYN hope to challenge the stereotypes that many people still hold of the region and believe that international volunteer projects are a good way in which to do this.
