Founded in 1993 by a group of students from Cluj Napoca, the aim of YAP Romania is the promotion of a democratic society, based upon basic human rights. In this respect, the objectives of the organisation are to protect and respect human rights as outlined in international treaties; to encourage civic participation among young people; to promote the peaceful co-existence of different cultures; and to fight racism, nationalism, fascism and all kinds of discrimination.
